Performance Improvement of Mlse Receivers over Flat Fading Channels Using Time-averaged Channel Statistics

چکیده
In this papec performance improvement of maximumlikelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) receivers operated in jut fading wireless cellular communication channels is investigated. The modijed receiver structure uses a channel classification method based on a decision variable obtainedfrom multiple traffic bursts. By formulating the decision variable using the F-distribution, analytic expressions for the performance of the proposed channel classification method is derived. Simulation results are also given for the misclassi$cation probabilities and the receiver bit error rate (BER).
